The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce Kakamega Chapter held a cocktail meeting with the Asian Business Community of Kakamega at Hotel Grand Turaco.

The meeting doubled up with sensitization on the upcoming business environment following the passage of finance bill both at the national level and at the county level.

During the meeting, the Asian Business Community led by their chairperson Mr. Pravin famously known as Mitra seconded a representative to the board of directors of KNCCI Kakamega Chapter to represent the interest of the Asian Business Community.

Mr. Nilesh will now sit on the chamber board and support the business Community with adverse expertise on accounting and financial management.

The chamber is determined to ensure there is an enabling business environment across the entire county for the growth of the economy.

Building Connections For Business People

The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kakamega Chapter through the department of Lands and Agribusiness led by Director Laban Mwanzo has played a key role in supporting the county government projects under the department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Co-operatives which has emerged top nationwide.

“It is through coordinated efforts and support that dreams are realized”…Mr. Laban Mwanzo.

The department emerged winners on performance, ABDP, best innovation and best in fish production thanks to LabedCash Marine Enterprises a member of the chamber of Commerce Kakamega managed by Mr. Laban Mwanzo.

Through innovation, the fisheries department is hoisted to receive a fishing boat that will be used countywide for groups managing dams across.

Marketing Our Members

The Kenya Livestock Commercialization Project (KelCop) organized it’s inaugural investor forum for the Dairy, bee keeping and adding poultry value chains in Kakamega.

The session targeted local and international investors in the three value chains supporting sustainable economic growth in Kakamega county.

The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kakamega Chapter CEO represented the Business Community during the forum organized in which he emphasizes on the sustainable market for the products in the three value chains.

The chamber being the representative of the business Community and connected from the grassroot to international levels, the CEO Mr. Tari indicated that their is ready market for members and all other businesses within Kakamega county.

In a meeting that was grazed by Hon. Benjamin Andama the CECM in charge of Agriculture County Government of Kakamega, the chamber invited members of the business community who have not registered with them to join and enjoy a wide market range of their products.

Other panelists included the CEO Premiere Feeds Malava, a representative of Sanergy fertilizer company recently launched in Matungu and director livestocks county government of Kakamega.
